Results of the 2010 Mid-Western All-Star Meet
During last weekend’s 2010 Mid-Western All-Stars meet in Lawrence, Kansas, which consisted of the top ten boys and girls in the 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14 age groups from seven different states, our very own Gian-Luc Jordan (9-10), Hunter Doerr (11-12) and Michael Loyd (11-12) carried on the CSST tradition with honor, dedication and fast swimming!!
Top honors goes to Michael Loyd for winning the 11-12 100 breast in 1:05.26 and setting a Colorado State and Mid-Western All-Star meet record! Michael was also the top scoring Colorado 11-12 boy with one 1st, three 2nd place finishes, a third and a 6th place finish. Hunter Doerr had many best times with his highest finish in the 50 free with a 26.43 (7th place) and a great 100 back in 1:05.74. Gian-Luc Jordon carried on the CSST tradition of great breaststroke racing with a 5th place finish in the 50 breast and 6th place finish in the 100 breast. Hunter and Michael also swam the 3rd an 4th legs of the 2nd place Colorado 200 free relay. Way to go men, we are very proud of you!
Making History
CSST swimmer Kelsey Oettinger made history for Discovery Canyon High School this past weekend at the Hornet Invitational in Pueblo. She became their first ever high school state qualifier! Kelsey, we are very, very proud of you!
Maintaining the CSST Pride – Ordering Your Team Uniform
As noted last week, we highly encourage all swimmers to wear the CSST team uniform for competition, which consists of the CSST cap, gray hoodie and team suit. We are taking your orders now through Wednesday, January 27th, 2010! Below is a brief description of each item as well as the price and how to place your order.
The CSST Silver Cap:
You have a choice to order either the latex, silicone silver or silicone silver with your last name printed on it! The silicone silver with your last name will come with your last name printed on the side of the cap underneath the CSST logo – pretty slick! Please note that the printed last name will be the one that is attached to your member account, unless otherwise noted. It’s always good to have an extra cap just in case one rips at a meet.
Latex: $3.25
Silicone: $11.00
Silicone with last name: $13.00 (min. 2 cap order)
The CSST Gray Hoodie:
This is the gray hoodie with the CSST logo on the front. If you ordered yours over winter break, then you’re set, otherwise, place your order by following the directions below.
$22.00
CSST Team Suit:
CSST has decided to go with the Royal Blue Aquablade Recordbreaker with the CSST logo for its competition suit. This suit will have the CSST logo on the front for the girls’ style and on the side for the boys’. It is fully compliant with the new FINA rules that came into effect beginning January 2010. The unique Aquablade fabric offers lower drag and the stripes create a channeling effect to streamline water away from the body. It is made of superior, chlorine-resistant 80% Polyester 20% Lycra® spandex.
This is not a suit swimmers should wear to practice. It should be reserved for competition only. Based on its unique material and that it is for competition, we recommend ordering this suit 1 to 2 sizes smaller than your swimmer’s practice suit.
Please note: There is a boy’s brief style available, although we recommend that boys wear the jammer style swim suit. The jammer style provides more material for added coverage and compression fit that is slicker than skin.
Girls: $58.00
Boys: $46.00
